Year 9 Hospitality and Catering have been working on their pastry skills, finding new and creative ways to continue with the practical elements of the course and get hands-on with ingredients as well as learning about theory.

This week they were making cheese and onion pasties; practicing their chopping and assembly skills in class; then the food is taken down to the ovens in the Technology department by the Technician and cooked so students can then evaluate and assess their finished work.

We hope students are taking these skills home with them and cooking up some lovely pasties for you to sample.
