Information and Instructions to support students and parents to complete work will be given below. This page is organised subject by subject.

ENGLISH – Students have been given a series of activities to complete based on the poems from other cultures. Ensure that the poem is read fully and highlighted with any interesting features. Students should then answer the questions on the sheet provided about the poem. Finally students should write their own poem.

MATHS – Students have been provided with a work pack to work towards their next module please work through.

SCIENCE – Students have been given a Fuels and Environment project. They should create a glossary of words and then complete each task. Create a poster displaying the impact fuels have had on the environment. Write a mini test with questions and answers for a student in your class. Useful websites BBC Bitesize Science, Youtube – fuse school, TedEd, Docbrown science revision, KS3 Seneca learning.

RE – Students have been given a research task to find out about the work and lives of each of the following people. Mother Teresa, Oscar Romero and Maximillian Kolbe. Students should present their research in a format they choose – PowerPoint, Word Document, Fact-file, Mind-map etc.. . You should consider the presentation of your work – Use images, pictures and colour.

ART – We would like students to continue with their creativity. Please find resources for creative arts on the school Moodle. FRENCH – Students should revise the following topics – Talking about yourself, Numbers, Days of the week/months and seasons, Hobbies, Present tense -er verb endings, Jouer and faire conjugation and House and Town. COMPUTING – Students should complete the homework booklet on the topics of The Internet. Use iDEA website to complete badges around topics such as cyber security, animation and coding.

GEOGRAPHY – Students have been given KS3 Homework booklet page “Risky World homework tasks”. They should complete 2 additional tasks.

HISTORY – Students have been given KS3 Homework booklet page “World War I”. They should complete 2 additional tasks.

PERFORMING ARTS – Students should explore the links on the document they have been provided in their pack of work. Complete the activities using the information given.

PE – In PE students are assessed on both practical ability and their knowledge and understanding in sport. Students have been provided with work to complete towards their final assessment grade. Students are asked to identify some of the basic rules for any sport we have covered. The second task asks students to suggest tactics and strategies that could be used in the sport they have chosen. Finally students are asked to maintain their levels of fitness. There is a circuit session provided of basic exercises that can be done at home easily with no equipment.

Year 7 Food – We would like to encourage students to prepare and make food at home, they can use recipes they have made at school and develop them to suit the family. Students can take photos of their finished products and send them to Mrs Wilson.
