Key Worker Enrichment Week and Celebration Assembly
When the government announced that schools were to close on the 5th January 2021, our work as a school in ensuring that our key worker students received the best education possible was our main priority. All of the staff at Mount St Mary’s Catholic High School take huge pride in putting students at the heart of everything we do and this was even more evident during this lockdown.
Students engaged with both the remote learning set by their classroom teachers and the subject specialist sessions delivered in school on a daily basis. No child was forgotten. Their resilience, respect and responsibility for their learning allowed them to excel in exceptional circumstances. So, in the final week of term students were given the opportunity to participate in an array of enrichment and enhancement activities. These included music workshops, drama, scientific investigations, hospitality, physical fitness and wellbeing to name but a few.
